What
sets you apart from other copywriters?
No cookie cutter approach in this
copywriting shop. Each project is unique and deserves special attention. Our philosophy is to craft a customized
marketing/communications message for each assignment
– no matter how big or small. We carefully choose the most effective creative platform to convey your
message. Simultaneously, we draw upon our knowledge of changing market trends and cutting-edge behavioral science
to ensure that your message resonates with your target audience. We go through a rigorous process to complete
a copywriting assignment but the extra work pays off. We think you will be delighted with the results.
How do you handle a copywriting
assignment?
Following an initial consultation,
we gather information to learn more about your product or service. You will be asked to provide us with previously
published material (e.g., brochures, annual reports, articles, market research). This literature will help
us to become more knowledgeable about the subject at hand. We will then conduct an in-person or over-the-phone
interview to further discuss your product/service, your audience, and your objectives.
After research is completed, we will
present a copy platform outlining the theme and angle for your project. Once you approve the copy platform,
we will write and deliver a first draft. Copy will then be rewritten until you are completely satisfied.
How long does it take you
to complete an assignment?
It generally takes two to three
weeks to complete a copywriting project, depending on how much research is needed and the complexity of your
project. Books and magazines will require more time to complete.
What if I have a rush job?
Tell us your deadline. If our workload
permits, we will make arrangements to complete your project sooner.
How do you deliver copy?
We can send copy to you on a floppy
disk, ZIP disk or CD-Rom; in an e-mail attachment; or as printed copy. Electronic versions of copy are typically
delivered in MS Word but we can make arrangements to save copy in other programs that you may prefer.
Who owns the rights for the
copy you write?
You are paying for the copy, so
you retain full ownership. However, we retain the right to use your work as an online or offline portfolio
sample. (This is an added bonus for you, as it will give your organization additional market exposure.)
How much do you charge?
We typically quote fees on a per-project
basis so you know your cost ahead of time. Let us know what type of project you have in mind and we will promptly
give you an estimate. We also charge hourly rates for other projects, such as editing, proofreading, and consulting.
Does your fee cover revisions?
Absolutely. Copy is revised–at
no additional cost–until you are completely satisfied. We want you to be thrilled with the results. However,
revisions must be made within 30 days upon receipt of your copy and are not based on a change in the assignment
after the copy is submitted to you.
What are the payment terms?
A purchase order or letter of authorization
is required before we start your job. Copywriting fees for first-time clients are payable 50 percent in advance;
the balance is due upon delivery.
We already have copy, but
it needs improvement. Can you help us with the revisions?
Yes, we can help make existing
copy sparkle. Ask for our editing rates. We also provide proofreading services.
Does your firm provide assistance
with graphic design, photography, printing, audiovisual production, etc.?
We certainly do. We work with a
team of talented professionals to meet all your communications needs. You can also find a list of reputable
vendors in the “Vendors Links” section of this Web site.
I’m sold! How can we
get started?
